Murata US18650VTC6 – 18650-size lithium-ion (INR) battery cell designed by the manufacturer for power tool battery packs and other high-current battery packs.

The nominal capacity specified by the manufacturer is 3120 mAh, with a minimum capacity of 3000 mAh (measured at 0.2C). When discharged at a current of 10 A, the minimum capacity is 2700 mAh, while at 15 A the minimum capacity is 2400 mAh.

The maximum continuous discharge current is 30 A, when the cell temperature is limited to 80 °C. The manufacturer also allows higher short-term discharge currents:

  • up to 40 A – up to 40 s; 
  • up to 55 A – up to 19 s;
  • up to 80 A – up to 6 s.

Murata is a Japanese electronics manufacturer that took over the production of Sony lithium cells in 2017. The VTC series continues the Sony lithium-ion cell line.
